Korean Church

In 1978, Dr. Dallas Dobson, Dr. Paisley, and the Joe Kim Family attended a National Conference for Korean Pastors. On the way home, Dr. Dobson revealed his new found burden for the Korean people in our area. "We have got to start a Korean Church," he remarked. This was the beginning of the Korean Ministry at Riverview Baptist. The work began under Pastor Kim Dae Hyun, who was followed by Pastor Park.

In 2000, Pastor Kim came to Riverview to be our Korean pastor. Under Pastor Kim, the Korean Church has seen both growth and ministry expansion, including a weekly broadcast done by Pastor Kim on KOLU 90.1 on Sunday afternoon.

This summer the Korean Church will be having two pastors from Korea visiting the Wednesday evening service on July 7. There will be a National Korean Pastors Conference, October 4-6, here at the church with the theme being Biblical counseling.
