We thank and praise the Lord for the exciting and active teen ministry we have here at Riverview! What a blessing to have a ministry where teenagers are taught how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to help find their purpose in life. Our youth leaders are amazing! We appreciate Pastor and Mrs. Garner and all of our youth workers so much! They love our teenagers and give so much of their time to help them and to see them grow in the Lord. The teen ministry has great services each week and hold youth activities at least once a month. They also get to go out soul-winning every Wednesday to help reach souls for Christ. The teenagers are the future! We are blessed to have such a wonderful teen ministry. Don’t ever take this for granted. The Devil would love nothing more than to destroy the lives and testimonies of these teenagers as well as our youth leaders. Please keep each of them and this ministry in your prayers!
*Teen Church* – Sunday morning the teens meet in the teen church upstairs in the gym for service.
*TeenSoul Winning * – Every Wednesday afternoon after school Pastor Garner takes the teens out soul winning. Teens are paired according to experience and go out door to door. In the summer months teens meet with the adults on Tuesday evening at 6pm and then go out together with Pastor Garner on the teen bus.
*Camp* – Senior Camp is held at Clearlake Camp, one hour west of Yakima Wa. during the last week in July. Open to teens from the 7th grade to recent graduates. Each year we bring in some of the top youth speakers from around the country.
*Public School Bible Club* – In 1990, the Lions’ Den Bible Club Ministry was started with the aim of reaching teens for Christ. On Wednesday nights, four van routes cover the Tri-Cities picking up young people for an exciting evening of singing, games, and challenging preaching.
The preaching of God’s Word has always been the central theme of Bible Club. Pastor Ken Griffin, Pastor Mike Schwalbach, and Pastor Keith Garner all rotate preaching to the young people. We believe the today’s teenagers are hungry to be challenged from God’s Word in a direct and loving way.
Our desire is that teens come to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and dedicate their lives to Him. We firmly believe that this is where joy and peace are found. Teens have been finding this out for themselves at Bible Club for nearly twenty years.
